Hotel or Airport Henri Coanda
08:00 AM
Know that when you travel to Romania and most specifically Bucharest, it’s capital, it’s not all about communism. Sure, it was a big part of Romania’s history and the architecture bears the marks, but the country was also a monarchy and has the sights to prove it. Also, after 1989 when Romania became a democracy, the newfound freedom translated into more nightclubs, hip meeting places, modern establishments and everything that has to do with an open market such as supermarket and international fast food chains, outlets, and malls.
We’ll meet at 08:00 a.m. at your hotel in Bucharest. We’ll pick up everyone.
First we’ll head towards the Dobrogea region, near the Black Sea.
Once we arrive we’ll stop in Constanța city, a former Greek settlement and one of the oldest and most important harbours by the Black Sea.
We’ll take a walk downtown and see: the Casino, the Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul, the biggest mosque in Romania, and the Ovidiu Market. We’ll also pass the most important museums, the Roman mosaic, the ruins of the ancient city of Tomis, and the Museum for National History and Archaeology, which houses the treasures of the city.
We’ll head to the Mamaia beach resort, Romania’s most famous and beloved location by the Black Sea. The resort was founded during the royal times, and has since remained a favourite place for elite holidays. We’ll have time to briefly enjoy the soft, golden sand and the refreshing, sparkling water.
Finally, we’ll return to Bucharest.
